Building Your Dog’s First Aid Kit for Hiking With Your Dog

While you may be pulling out your winter clothes, November is hiking season in Arizona. The weather is finally cool enough to enjoy our trails. Our dogs are looking forward to coming along to stretch their legs too. No matter what time of year you hike, it’s important to be prepared especially if you bring your dog.  Hikers are usually prepared with water and food for themselves and their furry friends. However, pet parents sometimes forget to pack a first aid kit for their dog. Below is a list of first aid products for a DIY dog first aid kit. Keep everything in a waterproof bag and have a designated storage place inside your car so that it is not forgotten. Be sure to check it often and replace missing or expired items as needed.
